At Community Carpenters, we’re career builders. Dedicated to inspiring the next generation of carpenters, we’re here to equip you with hands-on skills to build a successful career after high school, the military, or job change. With eight distinct crafts within the field of carpentry, there’s a specialty out there for anyone and everyone willing to show up with a good attitude.
Our seven board members, all union-affiliated, joined forces in 2013 with the goal of sharing viable construction training in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties. As a solid alternative to college, our pre-apprenticeship program will equip students with meaningful job opportunities after high school, college, and beyond. Our state-of-the-art training center will also serve local union carpenters looking to level up and master their craft.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your skills or launch a career, this is the place to find the latest updates on construction progress, scholarship information, community projects, training programs, and more. Our pre-apprenticeship program works for participants, mentors, potential employers, and our collective community—stay tuned to learn more about ways to get involved.
Learning carpentry is a viable and rewarding career option, and we are excited to help you discover a trade you love. Questions about our programs or the status of the training center? Reach out to us online at firstname.lastname@example.org, or at (805) 260-8079.
